Starting round two for the A-Z Archive, I have decided to focused on physical locations. Each letter will be a place.
A for Auckland, New Zealand.
What better way to experience Auckland than watching the match between All Blacks and Wallabies? I got a ticket that was a last minute release from unoccupied press box seating. What a view!

It’s August. I have a week of leave I need to use or loose. What did I do? Leave humid sticky Thailand behind for a good dose of winter. Coronet Peak, South Island, New Zealand.
V for Victory. Climbing to the summit of Mount Katherine, Egypt’s highest peak, was a personal accomplishment and a celebration for the beginning of my 30s. I resolved at this moment, to summit a mountain every year. To date, I have been true to that resolution.
U for umbrella. The best moment was earlier in our trip when we saw four or five scooters with pairs of riders on each. The people on back were holding identical purple checkered umbrellas. We all double over in laughter and couldn’t whip out a camera in time. This is the best we were able to get since.
Luang Prabang, Laos.
