TPT Documentary: Through a Soldier’s Eyes

I rarely have a purpose when I travel beyond the intent to explore. Sometimes, though, it is really awesome to have a theme to a trip, a purpose. A dear friend went on a genealogy research trip and found some surprising and amusing tidbits as well as enjoying the country as a whole (finding out that your great-somenumberofgreats-uncle was hung for piracy- admittedly very very cool). Another went to meet family long lost. The meaning these trips bring can be really profound and memorable.

This documentary is beyond cool. To follow in your great-grandparent’s footsteps in a very history time.. I can only imagine the ownership of history as well as the closeness to the relative that experience brought.
