Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

Neighbouring Agra is home to the more famous Taj Mahal.. but I find Humayun’s Tomb, a likely prototype or inspiration to the Taj, in Delhi to be under appreciated. Unlike the over-crowded Taj, Humayun’s Tomb was eerily empty and serene when I paid a sunset visit. And, unlike the Taj that prohibits photo taking inside, I was free to play around with my camera in catching the lighting.

    • I suppose you could look at it that way. I found the structure to be beautiful and reverent. Keep in mind, the Taj Mahal is a tomb, too.

  1. I’m assuming that there was one light source (the sun) shining through the two windows. I like the fact that the colours of the light coming through each window is different and the way it spreads into the room. Good shot.

    • Yep, lit by only the sun. My timing was fortuitous; I went straight after work, and made it there just before sunset. Thank you for the compliment!
